Groom made bomb hoax call after failing to book wedding venue.

wedding cake bomb Groom made bomb hoax call after failing to book wedding venue
When Neil McArdle, 36, realised he’d made a mess of booking Liverpool Register Office, he called St George’s Hall which houses the venue.
He told them a bomb had been left in the building. It would detonate in 45 minutes.

He never did tell his bride-to-be, Amy Williams. She rocked up at the venue in full bridal wear. She found the place evacuated.
Then the groom arrived. One hour after the scare, the place was reopened. Now McArdle and Williams could wed. But he’d not filled in the forms to book the venue. The wedding was off.
A source says:
“He realised that he hadn’t filled this form in. But he hadn’t got the heart to tell his missus and her family. The whole wedding party turned up to this bomb scare and then they found out there was no actual booking.”
Later than day, McArdle was pinched. At Liverpool Crown Court, he admitted a single charge of communicating false information with intent. He will be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court later this month.
At least if he heads to prison, the honeymoon will be cheap…
